Blockdevs

Put AI to work in your operations.

No hype. A free call with a business owner who's implemented AI at a top tier bank, to find the one project worth doing first and who should build it.

What's the one bottleneck that would change your year if it went away?
Book a call
This is experimental. Book a call to speak with a human.

45 minutes with Robert Hever. No sales team. No cost.
Also: engineering teams, blockchain builds, security reviews.

01

The situations we hear most.

1

You're established. You use some AI. You suspect you're leaving a lot on the table.

You'd like to know what companies like yours are actually doing with it, and which parts of your operation are worth automating first. You don't want to become a software company to find out.

Where this usually leadsA scoping conversation, then a build and run partner.
2

You're a tech company scaling faster than you can build.

You need to hire, or you want to bring enterprise harness and SDLC practices into your agent work. You know what good looks like. You need people who can ship it inside your team.

Where this usually leadsForward deployed engineers with a manager, or a specialised engineering team.

3

You're worried about new threats.

Are your agent practices safe? Is customer and confidential data protected? You want someone independent to look, and to tell you plainly what to fix.

Where this usually leadsA security review or AI security audit at research grade, and advisory on safer agent use.
4

You have a blockchain project in front of you, or one that needs acceleration.

A new token, a raise, a product line on chain, or a build that has stalled. Maybe you want advisory before you commit to building at all. Specific chains require specific resources, and we match you to engineers who have shipped on yours.

Where this usually leadsAdvisory first. Then a smart contract studio, a Rust, Haskell and Cardano team, an embedded pod, or research grade review.
5

You need a senior technical mind in the room, not a whole team.

A fractional CTO or architect to shape a solution, review a proposal, or sit on your side of the table while you decide.

Where this usually leadsAn introduction from Robert's network, and Robert on the early calls.
02

How this works.

Step 1Initial scopeA free 45 minute call. What you're solving, what you've tried, what a good outcome looks like.
Step 2Partner referralsRobert recommends one lab, or several so you can compare quotes. You decide who to talk to.
Step 3Full requirement scopingYou and the lab work the detail. Robert stays on the calls if you want him there.
Step 4ProposalsThe lab proposes. Robert helps you read it, compare it, and decide.

Robert's part is to help you scope the work, offer partners he trusts, help you navigate the proposals, and support you fractionally if you need it. Product and market strategy work continues through Hever Consulting.

What it costs. Advisory is free. If you want Robert on further scoping calls, or a fractional CTO alongside you, that is quoted up front. How Blockdevs is paid is in the questions below.
03

Robert Hever runs Blockdevs.

Over five years scaling a global data infrastructure company, Robert partnered with more than ten development and engineering labs. Blockdevs is a referral collaboration with the ones he trusts most. With his own engineering team and those partners he shipped 13 public projects on the blockchain. Before that he spent a year embedded in a tier one bank implementing conversational AI in the transformer era.

Today he is a full time product and market strategy consultant at Hever Consulting. Many of his clients turn out to have AI, blockchain, or complex engineering requirements. Blockdevs is where those go.

His network runs from high value developers for teams on a budget, to fractional CTOs who can architect a solution, to Silicon Valley agentic AI experts and research professionals with deep expertise in LLMs.

The network.

saasberry

An AI engineering lab that puts agents into production inside the Microsoft tools your team already uses. They build the system and run it for you as a managed service, so your team never has to take on the engineering.

Also brings modernised, agent driven SDLC practices to teams that build their own software.

Questions people ask first.

Why use Blockdevs when the labs are listed right here?

You can go straight to any lab on this page. If you work with Robert, he helps you scope the work, gets you multiple proposals, and sets you up with the exact right person at each lab so you skip the initial sales calls. He can also open his blockchain network to you. None of that costs you anything.

How does Blockdevs get paid?

When you sign with a lab Robert introduced, the lab pays Blockdevs a referral fee. It comes out of the lab's standard rates. It is not added to your price.

Is the first call really free?

Yes. 45 minutes with Robert. If you want him on further scoping calls, or a fractional CTO alongside you, that is quoted up front before anything starts.

Am I obliged to use a lab Robert recommends?

No. You can take the scope anywhere.

Do you work outside Vancouver?

Yes. In person across Metro Vancouver, remote across North America.

Who answers the email?

Robert. There is no sales team.
